The fund supports poverty reduction, regional cooperation and integration (RCI), and knowledge sharing through technical assistance projects and grants that explore and benefit from synergies among the Belt and Road Initiative, Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation, the Greater Mekong Subregion programs, and other RCI initiatives.
People's Republic of China
Project implementation, supervision, and monitoring will be conducted by user departments following ADB’s standard policies, procedures, and guidelines.
The Government of the People's Republic of China reviews applications from ADB and approve the PRCF grant and TA amount for each application.
The fund will support the following types of activities:
- transaction technical assistance, particularly project preparation support;
- institutional and capacity building for DMCs;
- innovative and demonstrative programs and projects;
- knowledge sharing including knowledge products, and human resources development;
- South-south knowledge exchange and dissemination activities around key development topics in which the PRC and other DMCs have significant development experience; and/or emerging needs; and
- grants contributing to regional connectivity.
