Overview

Bangladesh submitted the updated first NDC in 2021. The updated NDC includes a more ambitious conditional emissions reduction target of 89.47 MtCO2e by 2030 compared to the business-as-usual scenario. It also increases the unconditional emission reduction target to 27.56 MtCO2e by 2030 as compared to the business-as-usual scenario. The NDC covers the energy, industrial processes and product use, agriculture, forestry and other land use, and waste sectors. It also includes adaptation targets which will be further developed in the National Adaptation Plan.
