Laos

The government of Lao People Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) submitted its first NDC in 2015 and first updated NDC in March 2021. The updated NDC has an unconditional emissions reduction target of 245 tCO₂e and a conditional target of 415 mtCO₂e by 2030. The updated NDC covers agriculture, forestry, and land-use change, energy, transportation and urban development, waste management, water resource and public health sectors. With support from the international community, Lao PDR seeks to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
