Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan submitted its first NDC in 2018, followed by an updated version in 2021. Most recently, in November 2025, Uzbekistan submitted its NDC 3.0.
The country commits to reducing the carbon intensity of GDP by 50% by 2035 compared to 2010 levels, in line with its long-term goal of net zero emissions by 2055.
Mitigation priorities include expanding renewable energy, enhancing industrial efficiency, electrifying transport and promoting cleaner mobility, improving waste management and recycling, advancing sustainable agriculture and expanding forest cover and restoring ecosystems.
Adaptation priorities include strengthening water resource management, increasing agricultural resilience, improving climate resilient healthcare systems, building resilient housing and green urban spaces, enhancing early warning systems and disaster preparedness and protecting biodiversity and expanding protected areas.
The NDC 3.0 was developed by the Interdepartmental Working Group on Coordination of NDC Formulation under the Ministry of Ecology, Environment Protection and Climate Change.
