Mongolia
Mongolia submitted its updated NDC in 2020. The updated NDC has an unconditional emissions reduction target of 22.7% and a conditional target of 44.9% by 2030 as compared to the 2010 business-as-usual scenario. The NDC covers energy, agriculture, industrial processes and product use, and waste sectors. It also states qualitative adaptation targets related to animal husbandry and pastureland, arable farming, water resources, forest resources, biodiversity, natural disaster, public health, livelihood, and social safeguards. The updated NDC requires an estimated USD 11.5 billion in financial support implementation. Mongolia’s Partnership Plan, developed in 2018, is currently under implementation. The government is in the process of developing a Long-Term Vision (LTV) to be followed by the development of a long-term strategy.
