Kyrgyz Republic
Kyrgyz Republic submitted its updated first NDC in 2021. The updated NDC includes an unconditional emissions reduction target of 15.97% by 2030 and a conditional emissions reduction target of 43.62% by 2030 as compared to the business-as-usual scenario. The NDC covers water, agriculture, energy, health, and forestry sectors as well as adaptation.

Climate Commitments
- Membership: member since 2017
- Country Engagement: Since joining the Partnership, the Kyrgyz Republic has requested support related to designing and improving policies, strategies, plans, and legislation; mainstreaming NDCs into national planning and budgeting; improving the quality and ambition of the NDCs; improving coordination and whole-of-society approach; strengthening monitoring, evaluation reporting, and verification (MRV) systems; delivering capacity building and knowledge products; preparing NDC-related projects and pipeline for investments; engaging the private sector in NDC implementation; and developing LT-LEDS. With Partnership support, the Kyrgyz Republic has developed an NDC Implementation Plan for the period 2020 - 2030 covering water, agriculture, energy, health, and forestry sectors. In addition, partners have supported various activities, including enhancing the NDC and developing the NDC Implementation Plan through the Climate Action Enhancement Package as well as developing the Long-Term Low Emission Development Strategies through the Thematic Call for LT-LEDS and NDC Alignment, Update, and Enhancement.
