Established in 2017, the fund aims to catalyze greater private investment in climate change mitigation and adaptation projects that support the pursuit of a low- carbon, gender- responsive, and climate-resilient development path for the region.

Project implementation, supervision, and monitoring will be conducted by user departments following ADB’s standard policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Organizational and Decision Making Structure

All nonsovereign fund financing requests will be reviewed by ADB's Blended Finance Committee, before endorsed by ADB's Investment Committee, Concept Review Committee and/or FAST Committee.

Eligibility Criteria

The fund will support private sector projects from the list of eligible countries. Fund resources will not be used to finance stand-alone transactions, meaning ADB participation will be necessary in all transactions.
