The booklet explains how NbS (focused on oceans, marine, and coastal habitats) fit into Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) architecture of the Paris Agreement and shares examples of how countries are enhancing the climate mitigation and adaptation role of oceans and marine environments. It is a compilation of good practice guidelines from country experiences and lessons learned from the perspective of NDC implementation, and is meant to inspire governments and other stakeholders to embrace Blue NbS in their NDCs.
