This free course provides guidance on how to apply Nature-based Solutions in enhancing resilience to disasters and climate change. It is applicable to a wide-ranging audience, including youth leaders, practitioners, policy makers, engineers, and business owners. The course shares knowledge about how human activities are interlinked with ecological systems and main tools and approaches for applying Nature-based Solutions to reducing disaster and climate risks. It also describes how policy makers are including nature as a solution in policy processes for reducing disaster and climate risks, and how policies support to up-scale Nature-based Solutions for disaster risk reduction.
The course is offered through seven units of content, and is available for completion in eight languages.
