This tool supports country efforts to identify the best options for enhancing NDCs in line with the Paris Agreement and reflects on aligning NDCs with the Sustainable Development Goals and role of finance in NDC enhancement. The guidance in this tool proposes an overarching framework that countries can use during the process of updating NDCs. The tool guides countries through the main components of NDC enhancement, the rationale behind enhancing components, guidance on current stock taking and communication, and finally includes examples and countries to consult throughout the processes of enhancement.
