Case Summary

In this framework, the report profiles a set of subnational project preparation facilities (PPF) in Asia and Latin America. The report produced by GIB, FMDV and ICLEI and supported by GIZ and GIB, analyses project preparation tools, approaches, main bottlenecks, and solutions, by presenting three case studies as well as highlights from experts’ interviews.

Each case study focuses on a project preparation facility (PPF) that is active at the subnational level in either Latin America or Asia. The report explores solutions and suggests recommendations showing how risk mitigation instruments, project structuring and fair PPP models may be combined and tailor-made to specific project characteristics.
