Mali

Mali submitted its updated NDC in October 2021. The country aims to reduce its emissions by 31% for energy, 25% for agriculture, 39% for land use and forestry, and 31% for waste sectors by 2030 as compared to the business-as-usual scenario and make the economy green and resilient to climate change. The updated NDC covers the energy, agriculture, forestry and other land use, and waste sectors. The total estimated cost of the NDC implementation is estimated at USD 12.34 billion, including USD 4.34 billion for mitigation measures and USD 8 billion for adaptation. Mali is revising the NDC Action Plan and Investment Plan which will be aligned with the revised NDC.
