The RALI project developed a paper called the RALI GHG MRV Harmonization Approach, which provides a high-level summary of the approach to help practitioners align the mitigation results achieved on the ground, with top-down national inventories. By aligning the two, it will help to improve the tracking of real progress toward NDC goals, and help decision makers assess the relative effectiveness of different strategies, and steer resources to those that will make the biggest dent in GHG emissions. The paper provides a step-by-step summary of the GHG MRV Harmonization Approach and describes how the approach is being applied in some countries. This paper also provides resources for further information and training regarding GHG MRV.
