
Mozambique
Mozambique submitted it updated NDC in 2021. The updated NDC aims to reduce emissions by approximately 40 million tCO2eq from 2020 to 2025. The updated NDC covers energy, forestry, biodiversity, agriculture and fisheries, sustainable land use, waste management, industry, early warning systems, water resources and sanitation, health, social security, infrastructure, urban areas, settlements, tourism, coastal zones, communication, and education. The estimated cost of NDC implementation is approximately USD 7.58 billion for both adaptation and mitigation actions. Mozambique has initiated the process of preparing its LT-LEDS laying out the country's emission pathway up to 2050.
