Jordan
Jordan submitted its first NDC in 2016 and updated first NDC in 2021. The country commits to an emissions reduction target of 14% by 2030 as compared to the business-as-usual scenario with 12.5% being conditional on international support. The updated NDC contains priority mitigation and adaptation actions for the energy, transport, water, agriculture, health, waste, and biodiversity sectors. Jordan’s updated NDC also includes detailed gender-oriented actions. To accelerate the implementation of its NDC, Jordan launched its NDC Action Plan in 2019.
