This training guidebook created by the International Labour Organization (ILO) strives to enhance the capacity of institutions, so that countries will acquire the ability to develop the statistical database, the economic model, and the knowledge to use their own green employment projections for national development planning centered on promoting decent work. The guidebook is intended to mainly help policy makers, but also helps statisticians, researchers, and analysts in ministries of finance, planning, labour and environment, nationals statistics offices, employers’ and workers’ organizations, research institutions and universities, and international organizations. This book is divided into 4 Modules and each focuses on a different audience. Module 1 pertains to policy makers, Module 2 focuses on statisticians, Module 3 teaches researchers, and Module 4 focuses on analysts; each Module takes a different approach, depending on the audience, to enhance capacity and understanding of potential green employment opportunities.
