Analyse and compare how climate actions formulated in Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) correspond to each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The aim of this joint initiative by the Stockholm Environment Institute and the German Institute of Development and Sustainability is to reveal the connections between climate change and the Sustainable Development Goals.
To do so, this tool shows how activities set out in countries’ climate action plans, so called Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), go beyond climate change mitigation and adaptation, encompassing a broad scope of sustainable development.
By visualizing connections between the 2030 Agenda and the Paris Agreement this initiative supports efforts to maximize synergies and minimize trade-offs between climate change and sustainable development. Improved policy coherence at the global level is a prerequisite for coherent implementation at the national level.
