Namibia submitted its revised and updated NDC in 2021. The updated NDC has a conditional emissions reduction target of 91% by 2030 as compared to the business-as-usual scenario. The updated NDC includes a prioritized list of adaptation measures comprising 84 actions covering eight sectors. The total estimated cost of NDC implementation is approximately USD 5.33 billion by 2030, including USD 3.61 for mitigation measures and USD 1.72 billion for adaptation measures.

Climate Commitments
- Membership: member since 2017
- Country Engagement: Since joining the Partnership, Namibia has requested support related to mainstreaming NDCs into national/subnational planning and budgeting; improving coordination and whole-of-society approach; and mobilization of financial resources for NDC investment projects. With Partnership support, Namibia has developed an NDC Implementation and Strategy Action Plans 2021 to 2030 covering 10 sectors and has also revised its 2018 NDC Partnership Plan. In addition, partners have supported various activities, including supporting the development of baseline studies to develop greenhouse gas inventory systems at the national and sectoral level, assess climate action tracking and indicator systems for better mainstreaming climate change into national and sectoral development plans, and strengthening the capacity of climate change committees and working groups for integrating and aligning climate into national policies and plans.
