Overview

Grenada submitted its updated NDC in November 2020. The country confirms to reduce emissions by 40% in 2030 compared to 2010 levels. The updated NDC covers priority actions in the energy, transport, forestry, and waste sectors as well as adaptation for coastal resilience, water resource management, community resilience, institutional arrangements, health, education, and other areas.

Partnership Engagement
  • Membership: member since 2018
  • Country Engagement: Since joining the Partnership, Grenada has requested support related to improving the quality and ambition of the NDC. With Partnership support, Grenada has developed an NDC Action Plan for the period 2022-2030 covering six outcome areas, including energy, transport, waste, forestry, adaptation and cross-cutting areas. In addition, partners have supported various activities, including the development of sectoral investment plans for the four mitigation sectors of the NDC, the development of Grenada’s Resource Mobilisation Strategy, and a Communication Strategy for the NDC Implementation Plan.
