Adrián Flores Aguilar is a Climate Finance Associate at the NDC Partnership Support Unit. He supports implementing the Knowledge and Learning activities within the Partnership’s Finance Strategy, working in close collaboration with the Partnership Steering Committee, the Support Unit management team, and other finance specialists on the team. He is also responsible for connecting with partners from multilateral development banks, donors, private-sector organizations, and others to foster engagement in mobilizing finance to build coalitions to drive capital to our members’ climate action.

Adrián has 10 years of experience providing policy, technical and financial advice to stakeholders in Latin America and the Caribbean in subjects such as, climate change mitigation, blue economy, and resilience enhancement. He has worked as part of development cooperation organizations and financial institutions such as the Inter-American Development Bank and the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC).

He is Costa Rican and a US-American political Scientist. He holds a Master’s degree in Resources Management from the Technical University of Cologne, Germany, and a Doctorate’s degree in Territorial Studies from the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí, Mexico.
