HFC Outlook is a modelling platform to assess greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions related to the use of energy and refrigerants in refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump (RACHP) equipment and GHG emissions from other applications of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs). The model outputs include historic data through the years 1990 to 2022 together with forecasts between 2023 and 2050. A number of different scenarios are used to create a range of possible pathways to 2050, providing powerful information to support policy development.

The HFC Outlook model can be created for individual countries or regions, providing data that can support policy development e.g. for Kigali Implementation Plans (KIPs), National Cooling Plans (NCPs) and Nationally Determined Contributions to the Paris Agreement (NDCs).
