Tajikistan NDC Climate Finance Plan Introduction

This side-event at Tajikistan National Pavilion in COP28 on Introduction Tajikistan’s NDC Climate Finance Plan will provide a platform to present to the international community the Climate Finance Plan, which details the country’s strategy to achieve its NDC targets and contribute to the achievement of the global Paris Agreement goals. As accessing climate finance is crucial to the successful implementation of Tajikistan’s NDC, the side-event will also bring together key national and international stakeholders to engage on the critical issue of climate finance for NDC implementation in the country. Representatives from Asian Development Bank, USAID, NDC Partnership, International Finance Institutions, Multilateral Development Banks, and other Development Partners will join this side event to share success stories and lessons learned around inclusive climate financing and international investment for NDC implementation. They will join representatives from the Tajikistan national and subnational government agencies, and other stakeholders to discuss key aspects of the climate finance ecosystem, analyze opportunities and challenges, and identify ways forward to shape the climate agenda globally, in Central Asia, and within Tajikistan. 

OBJECTIVES

• To present Tajikistan’s NDC Climate Finance Plan
• To identify areas of cooperation between Tajikistan and implementing/development partners to assist fast-tracking the implementation of its updated NDC
• To provide a platform to exchange opportunities and lessons learned on climate investment
