Overview

Mauritania submitted its first NDC in 2015 and revised NDC in 2021. The country commits to an emission reduction target of 11% by 2030 as compared to the business-as-usual scenario. The revised NDC covers mitigation targets for the energy, industrial processes and product use, agriculture, forestry and other land use, and waste sectors and adaptation targets for the conversation of ecosystems, biodiversity, water, urban settlements, food security, health, infrastructure, education, and disaster risk reduction.
