Guinea

Overview

Guinea submitted its updated NDC in 2021. The updated NDC has an unconditional emissions reduction target of 17% across all sectors with the potential of achieving a 49% reduction in emissions from the land-use and forestry sectors by 2030. The updated NDC also outlines enhanced adaptation goals, connections with other national strategies and policies, efforts to further gender and youth inclusivity, and linkages to the Sustainable Development Goals. The NDC investment plan was developed in 2022 which includes priority investment projects for mitigation and adaptation areas from the updated NDC as identified in the country’s Partnership Plan.
