Overview
The Democratic Republic of the Congo submitted its revised NDC in 2021. The country commits to an unconditional emissions reduction target of 2% and a conditional target of 21% by 2030. The revised NDC covers the agriculture, forestry, health, coastal areas, energy, and waste sectors. The estimated cost of NDC implementation is USD 25.6 billion for mitigation actions and USD 23.08 billion for priority adaptation measures.

Partnership Engagement
- Membership: member since 2016
- Governance: Democratic Republic of the Congo served as a country member to the NDC Partnership Steering Committee from 2017-2019.
- Country Engagement: Since joining the Partnership, the Democratic Republic of the Congo has requested support related to designing or improving policies, strategies, plans, and legislation. In addition, partners have supported various activities, including the development of an NDC roadmap and the recruitment of an in-country Facilitator.
