Overview

Central African Republic submitted its updated NDC in 2022. The country has an unconditional emissions reduction target of 11.82% and a conditional target of 24.28% by 2030 as compared to the reference scenario. The updated NDC covers energy, agriculture, forestry and other land use, industrial processes and product use, water and sanitation, spatial planning, habitat and infrastructures, health, and includes adaptation measures focused on reducing vulnerability and lessening impacts from climate change in the most vulnerable sectors. The total estimated cost of NDC implementation is estimated at USD 1.764 billion, including USD 1.32 billion for mitigation measures and USD 443.87 million for adaptation.
