Ivana Valdez
Regional Program Officer, Latin America and the Caribbean
Ivana is the Regional Program Officer for Latin America and the Caribbean at the NDC Partnership Support Unit. Her responsibilities include, providing support to the regional team through information and knowledge management, namely by tracking key engagements and producing analytical outputs that feed into exchanges with countries and partners. She is also dedicated to enhancing team systems and processes, such as the Monitoring and Evaluation system.
Prior to joining the NDC Partnership, Ivana spent her academic years conducting scientific research, developing sustainability initiatives, and educating others on the urgency of climate change.
Ivana holds a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Texas at Austin and intends to pursue a MSc in climate-related migration. She is fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese.
