Ihssane El Marouani

Morocco In-Country Facilitator

Ihssane El Marouani is the NDC Partnership In-Country Facilitator for Morocco and is embedded within the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development. She has a strong background in environment engineering and quality management, with over 10 years of experience as a program manager in Morocco. She has worked on a variety of projects related to climate change, including voluntary carbon offset, GHG emissions accounting, carbon footprint for companies, climate plans for territories, energy efficiency, solar electrification, electric mobility, environmental health impact, and climate finance. Ihssane has also been involved in promoting education and training for environment and sustainable development, building partnerships with national and local authorities, private sector, civil society, and technical and financial partners. Currently she is facilitating the implementation of Moroccos's Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement. She is coordinating the mobilization of actors and resources and supporting the NDC Partnership Country Engagement.
