Seychelles In-Country Facilitator

Andrew Jean-Louis is the NDC Partnership In-Country Facilitator for Seychelles and is embedded at the Ministry of Agriculture, Climate Change and the Environment.  Andrew has a science and energy background from Murdoch University in Western Australia. He has experience in the renewable energy, energy efficiency and climate change fields. He was involved in the building of the first wind farm in the Seychelles and spearheaded the creation of the country’s Energy Commission by leading the drafting of the Energy Act (2012). Andrew has also participated in both National Communications to the UNFCCC, the drafting of the NDC, and the Technology Needs Assessment. His extensive experience also includes working with international organizations such as the World Bank, UNDP and the EU.
