Tamir Enkh-Amgalan
Mongolia In-Country Facilitator
Tamir has a background in environmental monitoring and assessment, obtained from the National University of Mongolia, followed by an MSc in Environmental Engineering from the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. His Ph.D. research, conducted at Ghent University in Belgium, focused on the impact of climate change and overgrazing on soil organic carbon dynamics across various ecosystems. With 15 years of experience across academic institutions, governmental organizations, and UN agencies, Tamir has been actively involved in climate change mitigation and adaptation projects. Concurrently, he served as a part-time lecturer at the National University of Mongolia, where he taught courses on natural resources management and climate change topics. Tamir is embedded with the Ministry of Environment and Tourism of Mongolia.
