Sertac Turhal

Sertac Turhal is a country engagement specialist based in Bonn, focusing on supporting the partnership's engagement and knowledge strategies across Eastern Europe, Asia, and the Pacific regions. Prior to joining the Support Unit, Sertac served as a Task Team Leader at the French Development Agency, where he led initiatives in water and sanitation, climate change, biodiversity, and Nature-Based Solutions (NBS).

Previously he also worked for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and various renewable energy companies in the private sector, where he held roles as a project and program manager. Sertac brings a wealth of experience in sustainable development, particularly in the areas of environmental conservation, renewable energy, and climate resilience.

Sertac studied forestry and industrial engineering and he also holds an MBA.
