Mohamed Zmerli

Tunisia In-Country Facilitator

Mohamed Zmerli has an agronomic sciences engineering background attained from the High National School for agriculture of Rennes – France (post-graduated studies) and the National Agronomic Institute of Tunis.
He was worked for more than twenty years in the Ministry of Environment in Tunisia, as an environment and climate specialist. He was nominated since 2016 as the Head of National climate change coordination department and National focal point for the United Nations Framework on Climate change (UNFCCC).
He worked also as a senior climate change specialist with the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) for the implementation of Local Climate adaptive Living (LoCAL) Facility in Tunisia and the increase of resilience of local actors to the adverse effects of climate change.
