Max Russer
Climate Finance Associate
Max Russer is a Climate Finance Associate at the NDC Partnership Support Unit and is based in Ventura, California. Max helps with identifying projects and programs, collecting intelligence on sources of finance and matchmaking.
Prior to joining the NDC Partnership, Max worked as a project consultant with WSP's Climate Finance Team, where he supported a variety of climate finance projects and initiatives, including Microsoft’s Climate Innovation Fund and Project GAIA, a 1.5-billion-dollar climate-focused finance platform. In other roles, Max has advised the Federated States of Micronesia and other Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in gaining access to climate finance for adaptation and resilience projects. Max has also worked with large corporations to help them assess and report on their nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities.
Max has a master's in environmental science and management from the Bren School at the University of California, Santa Barbara and a B.S. and B.A. in environmental policy and international relations, respectively, from the University of California, Davis.
