Christine Conway is the Country Engagement Specialist for the NDC Partnership Support Unit. She is based at the Pacific Regional NDC Hub in Suva, Fiji, where she coordinates the implementation of the Partnership’s activities in the Pacific Region, liaising between the Pacific Regional NDC Hub and the global NDC Partnership.  

Prior to joining the Support Unit, Christine worked in climate change and disaster risk management for the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including at the Permanent Mission to the UN in Geneva and at the New Zealand High Commission in Suva, Fiji. Christine has a technical background in disaster risk management (with a Pacific focus) and previously worked for the United Nations in disaster recovery and peacebuilding in Papua New Guinea. Christine has had a strong focus on Pacific stakeholder engagement throughout her career, including at national, regional and multilateral levels.  

Christine holds a masters’ degree in conflict, security and development from the University of Sussex and a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from the University of Waikato.
