NDC Partnership Launches "Partnership in Action Report: Impact of a Global Coalition"
16 June 2025 – The NDC Partnership published its flagship “Partnership in Action Report: Impact of a Global Coalition” today, demonstrating the collective results delivered by its diverse membership over the last year.
As a coalition of more than 130 countries and more than 110 institutions, the NDC Partnership collectively advances climate action that drives sustainable development worldwide. Representing at least 52% of the global population and 41% of global emissions, the NDC Partnership is positioned to deliver a significant global impact.
NDC Partnership Co-Chair Representatives, Ms. Ana Toni, COP30 CEO, Brazil, and Mr. Ole Thonke, Climate Ambassador, Denmark: “The mission of the NDC Partnership is more important than ever. Through coordinated action, the NDC Partnership mobilizes and aligns technical and financial resources to rapidly drive climate action and sustainable development at scale. By uniting efforts around developing countries’ needs, the Partnership maximizes the impact of individual country and partner efforts, enabling all actors to deploy resources more efficiently and drive greater climate and development impacts.”
Over the past year, the NDC Partnership continued to fast-track the implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and scale up support for countries to develop robust “NDCs 3.0,” aligning member efforts to optimize all available resources.
The report captures four key areas, or “impact pathways,” through which the Partnership catalyzes transformation in countries — accelerating NDC implementation, raising NDC ambition and quality, mobilizing climate finance and mainstreaming climate into national plans and budgets. Together, these four impact pathways capture how the NDC Partnership achieves emissions reductions, boosts resilience and expands climate financing.
NDC Partnership Global Director Pablo Vieira: “The rapidly shifting climate-development landscape requires unprecedented alignment among committed countries and partners. The NDC Partnership plays a more important role than ever in mobilizing support for country-driven climate action. To date, the NDC Partnership has supported over 100 developing countries worldwide, rapidly bridging critical gaps in support. NDC Partnership members work through a model of coordinated action that continues to be a force for steady progress towards climate-aligned economic growth.”
The report illustrates the scale of the NDC Partnership’s collective efforts through in-depth country stories, including:
