NDC Clinics Spotlight Strategies for Effective NDC Implementation

In 2025, countries across Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa and Asia-Pacific convened to prioritize investment needs and develop climate investment strategies that support the implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).

Co-organized by the UNFCCC secretariat, its Regional Collaboration Centres (RCCs) and partners, a series of regional “NDC Clinics” brought together representatives from government ministries, financial institutions and the private sector to identify gaps in investment planning, set priorities and design financing strategies to deliver on national climate commitments.

The first NDC Clinic of the year took place in May during Climate Week 2025 in Panama, with the UNFCCC secretariat working in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the NDC Partnership Support Unit.

At Africa Climate Week in Addis Ababa, the UNFCCC secretariat and its RCCs, UNEP, UNDP, GIZ and the NDC Partnership Support Unit organized two NDC 3.0 Clinics for government focal points in the region. In collaboration with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) SINGG Forum, the same partners organized an NDC 3.0 Clinic for government focal points in Asia and the Pacific.
