The NDC Transport Tracker enables you to get a clear picture of ambition, targets and policies in countries’ nationally determined contributions (NDCs) and Long-Term low GHG Emission Development Strategies (LTS) that support sustainable transport.
Find relevant instructions in this how-to use guide. The key insights and good practices of this analysis can be retrieved here.
You can get information on the role of transport in climate strategies all over the world, in a certain region or in a particular country. The world map on the start page gives an overview, bar charts enable the comparison of transport’s role between different generations of climate policy documents. The tables on targets, mitigation and adaptation actions and more provide a whole range of transport-related information from climate plans. Read more about how to use the tracker here.
The wealth of available information comprises climate targets as well as climate actions for mitigation and adaptation in transport. You can also find out which means of implementation countries include in their climate plans or what government structures are in place for transport climate action.
Country pages present a more in-depth picture of available climate policies and put it into context by providing information on GHG emissions and economic development.
The Tracker is being updated constantly. The newest NDCs and LTS will be added once published on the submissions portal of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The original NDC can be found in the NDC Registry and the LTS are compiled here. The NDC Transport Tracker will be updated in the future with other major national strategies, starting with the relevant transport documents references in the LTS and NDCs.
