Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a grant from Tomberg Family Philanthropies, organizations must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in the United States. While organizations must be U.S.-based, they may run projects anywhere in the world
- Alternatively, can be a government entity or public institution in the U.S., such as:
- Public schools
- Public universities
- Religious organizations or projects run by religious organizations are not eligible
- Grants are typically awarded for:
- Pilot programs
- Demonstration projects
- New initiatives
- Capacity building
- Evaluations
- They do not fund ongoing operational expenses or general support
