This webinar series highlights successful examples of mitigation and adaptation ambition-raising efforts while promoting exchange and learning to scale impact across the NDC Partnership.

The next round of NDCs, which will guide efforts through 2035, represents a critical opportunity to incorporate actionable, industry-specific measures that align with net-zero pathways. Achieving rapid industrial decarbonization requires greater ambition and specificity. This can be accomplished through the adoption of low-carbon technologies, significant improvements in energy efficiency, and the widespread development of sustainable infrastructure and breakthrough innovations.

International momentum is building to strengthen industrial sector contributions to climate action. Although some countries have already submitted their enhanced NDCs, most are in progress. A review of the submitted NDCs shows that while some include efforts related to the industrial sector, most make only limited references.

This webinar will focus on strategies for strengthening industrial decarbonization actions within NDCs, featuring insights from global institutions, country case studies, and practical tools to integrate industry-specific climate targets into national strategies and climate action. This webinar is co-hosted by the Global Matchmaking Platform of the Climate Club, UNIDO’s Net-Zero Partnership for Industrial Decarbonization, and UNDP’s Climate Promise.
