COP30: Scaling Clean Energy Solutions in Displacement Settings
As the global climate and humanitarian crises deepen, proven clean energy solutions are already making a difference - powering refugee camps, creating jobs, enabling health care, and unlocking investment in climate-vulnerable regions. Through its Transforming Humanitarian Energy Access (THEA) and Powering Clean Energy Investment programmes, Ashden is supporting a portfolio of high-impact, locally-led solutions.
At COP30, Ashden invites donors, investors, and system actors to a dynamic mini hackathon - a collaborative session to explore how these solutions can be replicated and scaled across geographies and sectors.
Aims and Intended Outcomes:
- Introduce a curated set of impactful clean energy solutions from Ashden’s programmes.
- Challenge participants to help identify specific pathways for scaling, replicating, or financing these solutions.
- Facilitate partnerships between funders, implementers, and innovators.
- Generate at least 5 practical ideas and commitments to support wider adoption post-COP30.
This highly interactive session will feature breakout groups, lightning pitches, and team-led solutions design sessions.
