Details

Now that the Government of Uganda has championed NDC implementation and sub-national climate change action planning, there is a need to share experience on NDC and sub-national action planning whilst seeking cooperation with the rest of the world to catalyze the mobilization of financial resources, technology transfer and capacity building required to put such plans into action.  The Government of Uganda will make a keynote presentation on NDCs and sub-national climate action planning based on selected country case studies. A moderated panel with representation from UNFCCC bodies (preferably the Adaptation Committee), a Development partner (bilateral or multilateral) and representative from district local government or Ministry of local government from Uganda and East African Community member state. A short plenary will be conducted to give the audience the opportunity to reflect on NDCs and sub-national climate action planning.
