COP29: NDCs at sub-national level in Cote d'Ivoire - climate finance mobilization for the implementation of Territorial Climate Plans (case of the Bélier region)

The integration of climate actions at the subnational level is a key lever for achieving the objectives of NDCs in Côte d'Ivoire. Through the example of the Territorial Climate Plan of the Bélier region, this side-event will highlight the opportunities and challenges related to the mobilization of climate finance to support local authorities in the implementation of their climate actions. The discussions resulting from this event can inspire other regions and strengthen cooperation between actors at all levels for a coherent and effective climate response.
