COP28: Advancing Global Progress on NAPs and NDCs through Public/Private Sector Partnerships – the Comprehensive Action for Climate Change Initiative (CACCI)

In response to the COP28 Global Stocktake USAID has established the Comprehensive Action for Climate Change (CACCI) Partnership for Climate Action (PCA) . During this event the private sector will announce the intention to invest $20 billion to collaborate with USAID to identify projects in renewable energy, infrastructure, and climate resilient agriculture that meet countries’ NDCs and National Adaptation Plans’ (NAPs) commitments. Through this partnership USAID, the private sector and country governmental will collectively work to establish a country-led process to support country-level climate impact investments that meet the implementation of the Paris Agreement commitments. Country representatives will highlight the priority of meeting climate commitments and supporting the development and implementation of ambitious adaptation and mitigation actions.
