Overview
Paraguay submitted its updated NDC in 2021. The country commits an unconditional emissions reduction target of 10% and a conditional target of 10% by 2030 as compared to the business-as-usual scenario. The updated NDC covers agriculture, land use, land use change and forestry, industrial products and processes, waste, and energy.

Partnership Engagement
- Membership: member since 2018
- Country Engagement: Since joining the Partnership, Paraguay has requested support related to designing and improving national strategies, plans, and legislation; capacity building; and private sector engagement to implement NDCs. In addition, partners have supported various activities, including fast-tracking the implementation of NDCs, green economic recovery during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, and the implementation of carbon markets.
