Peru
Peru submitted its first NDC in 2016 and its updated NDC in 2020. The country commits to reduction emissions by between 30% to 40% by 2030 as compared to the business-as-usual scenario. The updated NDC has a strong focus on adaptation and covers actions related to water, fishing and aquaculture, forestry, agriculture, health, tourism, and transport.

Climate Commitments
- Membership: member since 2017
- Country Engagement: Since joining the Partnership, Peru has requested support related to mainstreaming NDCs into national/subnational planning and budgeting; LT-LEDS development; designing or strengthening monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and verification (MRV systems); improving the quality and ambition of the NDC; improving coordination and whole-of-society approach; and private sector engagement to implement the NDC. In addition, partners have supported various activities, including developing territorial adaptation measures from the National Adaptation Plan, and the elaboration of new mitigation roadmaps to achieve higher ambition in the updated NDC.
