Overview
Montenegro submitted it updated first NDC in 2021. The updated NDC includes an economy-wide emissions reduction target of 35% by 2023 as compared to 1990 levels. The updated NDC covers water, infrastructure, transportation, agriculture, forestry, tourism, and health sectors.

- Membership: member since 2023
- Country Engagement: Since joining the Partnership, Montenegro has requested support related to improving policies, strategies, plans, and legislations; improving the quality and ambition of the NDC; preparation of NDC-related projects and pipelines for investments; and LT-LEDS development. Partners are supporting the development of the LT-LEDS through the Partnership’s Thematic Call for NDC and LT-LEDS Alignment, Update, and Enhancement.
