Guatemala
Guatemala submitted its updated NDC in 2022. The updated NDC has an unconditional emissions reduction target of 11.2% for measures in the land use sector and a conditional target of 22.6% from the implementation of additional measures in the energy, agriculture, and waste sectors by 2030. The updated NDC also includes adaptation targets for agriculture, livestock and food security, coastal and marine areas, forestry and protected areas, water resource management, health, and infrastructure. Guatemala submitted its Long-Term Strategy in 2021.

Climate Commitments
- Membership: member since 2017
- Country Engagement: Since joining the Partnership, Guatemala has requested support related to improving the quality and ambition of the NDC; preparation of NDC-related projects and pipelines for investment; and capacity building and knowledge products. With Partnership support, Guatemala developed a Roadmap for implementation of the updated NDC (2023-2025). In addition, partners have supported various activities, including the update of NDC related consultations, emission inventories and associated cost-benefit analysis, and technical support to develop an NDC Investment Plan.
