Partnership Engagement
  • Membership: member since 2018
  • Country Engagement: Since joining the Partnership, Ecuador has requested support related to designing and improving policies, strategies, plans, and legislation; strengthening monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and verification (MRV systems); and to improving coordination and whole-of-society approach. With Partnership support, Ecuador has developed an NDC Action Plan for the period 2021-2030 covering energy, agriculture, industrial processes, waste and LULUCF. In addition, partners have supported various activities, including the development of communication tools aimed at improving measurement, reporting and verification of the NDC in the Energy, Industrial and Waste Sectors, as well as private sector involvement in climate action through the program Ecuador Carbono Cero, and the generation of a large-scale national project to manage adaptation to climate change.
