Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic submitted its updated NDC in 2020. The updated NDC commits and emissions reduction target of 27% by 2030 as compared to the business-as-usual scenario. The update NDC includes mitigation components for energy, industrial processes and product use, agriculture, forestry and other land use, and waste as well as adaptation components. The Dominican Republic strives to reach Net Zero by 2050.

Climate Commitments
- Membership: member since 2017
- Country Engagement: Since joining the Partnership, Dominican Republic has requested support to improve the quality and ambition of the NDC. With Partnership support, Dominican Republic has developed an NDC Action Plan for the period 2022-2025 covering five mitigation and 5 adaptation areas. In addition, partners have supported various activities, including technical assistance to the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic (BCRD) to determine the macroeconomic impacts of climate change, conduct climate-related stress tests, and build capacities of financial institutions on climate finance.
