Saint Lucia's "Youth in Climate Change Project"

In February, Saint Lucia became the first Caribbean country to submit its NDC 3.0, with a strong focus on intergenerational climate action. Launched in 2024, the “Youth in Climate Change” project laid the groundwork for meaningful youth input, engaging more than 800 young people, distributing over 500 LED bulbs to schools, delivering technical training to youth leaders and placing tertiary students in paid internships.
